The eagerly anticipated show home will give buyers their first glimpse of the traditional architectural style and high interior specification provided at Farnborough’s newest development.

The show home will demonstrate how Inland Homes is helping to meet the rising housing demand and providing ideal homes to suit everyone from young families to professionals and even downsizers. Potential buyers will have their first opportunity to come to the development and experience the high standard of homes that are on offer - the show home gives people a real idea of how it would feel to live at Queensgate.

"We have deliberately given Queensgate a low-density layout design and have endeavoured to maximise all of the green space available to make it a very tranquil place to live. The sympathetic exterior home design has been carefully blended together with modern interior styling to suit today’s buyers – what's more, purchasers choosing to invest at Queensgate will be able to take advantage of all the benefits of a new-build home such as the low maintenance costs which you don't get with an older property."

The show home features contemporary interior design by Moores Interior. The designer fitted kitchen, which opens out onto the garden, has granite effect worktops, oven with integrated hood and four ring gas hob, integrated fridge freezer and space for an integrated washer/ dryer and dishwasher. The two bathrooms include contemporary white sanitary ware, stylish Porcelanosa tiling and high pressure showers. The expansive master-bedroom spans the length of the house and benefits from an en-suite bathroom affording parents their own quiet space away from the children.

The show house boasts impressive storage space throughout and includes TV & Sky+ points in the living room and master bedroom, providing the ideal opportunity for families looking to buy their first home, or for those wanting to move to the Farnborough area and wanting real value for money.

Inland Homes is transforming the former Brownfield site adjacent to the world-renowned Farnborough Airfield into an £100 million scheme of traditional one, two, three and four-bedroom homes and over 100,000 sq ft of employment space. Queensgate will include over 400 sensitively designed family houses and apartments and areas of green space to create a sustainable and attractive living environment.

The first phase at Queensgate will include a beautiful selection of 52 homes comprising 19 one and two-bedroom apartments and 33 three and four-bedroom houses ranging in size from 904 sq ft to 1,022 sq ft.

WAVELL SCHOOL AND INLAND HOMES DELIGHTED BY ROUNDABOUT COMPETITION ENTRIES

On a hot, sunny Monday morning the Chief Executive of Inland plc, Stephen Wicks, was delighted to attend the year 7's assembly at Wavell School to present the prizes to the talented winners of the 'Roundabout Competition'.

The competition was run by Inland Homes in conjunction with the Science Department of Wavell School, Farnborough, as part of the their ‘eco’ project work to design a landscaping scheme for the roundabout on the nearby and soon to be opened Queens Gate Road. The roundabout forms the central feature of the new residential and commercial development by Inland plc on the former MOD site in Farnborough.

Enjoying the sunshine after the assembly, Stephen Wicks commented, 'I thought it would be great to use the talent and inspiration of Farnborough's young people to design an imaginative and relevant landscaping scheme for such a prominent new roundabout in the town. And they have excelled. I have been delighted by the quality and variety of the entries. Choosing the seven winners was no easy feat! Well done to everyone who participated and a big thank you to the School for making it so enjoyable and such a success. I certainly hope to be involved with this progressive and energetic school over the next few years as we continue to develop the Queensgate site'.

The competition captured the imagination of the pupils with alot of hard work and imagination going into all the entries. Given the historical relevance of the former MOD establishment and the airfield being host to the internationally acclaimed airshow, many of the entries included aeroplanes and water features; statues and play areas. The need for an eco friendly and sustainable scheme also ensured the entries included thoughtful planting and clever water saving ideas. A welcome message and a youthful feel were also strong themes that ran through the entries.

Amanda Rowley, Headmistress commented 'Thank you to Inland not only for the opportunity for our pupils to be involved in the design of such a major redevelopment right on our doorstep but also for the prizes and generous donation to the school. My science teacher, Mrs Gaskell worked extremely hard to make the competition such a success, drawing on many of the science and eco-themes currently being studied by year 7. I know Mrs Gaskell will use the donation very wisely to the benefit of the whole school and the eco-kit prizes were a hit with the lucky winners'.

'We are keen to forge good relationships with companies and organisations in the town, bringing the relevance of the commercial world beyond the school gates home to the children. We look forward to working with Inland in the future' adds Amanda.
